Diabetes and Hibiscus Tea

I am 81 and I have High BP Diabetes and high cholesterol, but all under control through medication.
I was given a handful of dried Roselle for brewing tea by a very close friend.
I drank this tea every morning for a week or more in stead of coffee. When I tested for reading in my sugar level I was very surprise by the result. My sugar level was reduced to 5.6 from 8.7.
I am now not as thirsty as before and that I now move my bowels earlier in the morning rather than after breakfast.
I will continue to drink this tea and will be going to my GP for routine test Diabetes for High BP and also cholesterol in a week's time. I hope to be taken off medication eventually.
